Caladiums remain beautiful to look at for months, and, unlike cut flowers that die soon after delivery. The perfect addition for your garden. Caladiums are easy to grow. They may be planted during the Spring or Summer as soon as the cold weather has past. You can continue planting through the Summer months. You can plant in sun or shade in a well drained location. Partial shade is best. Bulbs should be covered with one or two inches of soil. Water frequently to keep soil moist, but never soggy. Soil MUST be WARM and MOIST for them to germinate rapidly. A light application of any good garden fertilizer two or three times during the growing season is sufficient. If storage is attempted for the Winter months, bulbs should be dug before cold weather and spread in flats in a location with good ventilation and temperature of 70º to 80º.
